Terms of service

General

You can find the entire workshop offering on our website at www.moonandclay.ch, where the offerings can also be booked and paid for directly. Payment for the course fee is due before the start of the workshop.
For private events/team events, 50% of the price per participant will be invoiced as a deposit to guarantee and confirm the booking. The invoice for the remaining payment will be sent two days before the workshop.
If a subscription (Clay Folk or Moon Folk) or a membership (Clay Folk) is purchased, it will be issued in your name and cannot be transferred to other individuals.

Cancellation by Participants

Have you enrolled in a course and are now unable to attend? Depending on the workshop offering, you can reschedule for another available date free of charge up to a certain point in time—use the rescheduling option in your confirmation email or contact us directly via email at studio@moonandclay.ch. Alternatively, a credit in the form of a voucher that can be redeemed at a later date is also possible. Last-minute rescheduling or cancellations unfortunately cannot be done free of charge.

Clay Folk Workshops:

Cancellation up to 8 days before the start of the course: Rescheduling to another date or 100% refund in the form of a voucher
Cancellation 7 to 3 days before the start of the course: 50% refund in the form of a voucher
Cancellation 2 to 0 days before the start of the course: No refund possible. However, you are welcome to find a replacement and transfer the spot to someone else.

Cancellation or Changes by Organizer

In the event of cancellation by moon + clay, rescheduling to another course date is possible (we appreciate any rescheduling or voucher issuance :)) or a full refund will be provided. In case of changes by moon + clay, participants will be informed in a timely manner.

Firing Service

The kilns are operated exclusively by the Moon + Clay team. They reserve the right not to fire items where glazes have not been applied properly (floor not cleaned properly, no initials noted, etc.). Defects to the kiln (due to excessively thickly applied glazes, etc.) will be invoiced (e.g., replacement of a cordierite plate CHF 40).

Pickup

Objects will be made available for pickup at the moon + clay studio upon completion. We kindly ask you to collect your bisque and glazed pieces within the next 30 days from the designated shelves. To facilitate this process, please ensure that all your pieces are clearly marked with your name. Any pieces not collected after this 30-day period will unfortunately have to be removed.

Workshops

Your finished ceramic products, glazed by us, will be ready for pickup approximately 4 weeks after the workshop.

Note

Please bear in mind that pottery items can occasionally break in the kiln. Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for any breakages that may occur during this process.

Gift Certificates

Purchased or received gift certificates will not be refunded.

Insurance

Insurance is the responsibility of the course participants and Open Studio members.
